Operating Hours

The library is open at all times, but please note the special hours below:

  • Monday – Thursday:
    • 1:30 – 5:30 PM (Librarian and library assistant available)
  • Evening hours (Sunday – Thursday)
    • Men:  5:30 – 7:00 PM
    • Ladies:  5:30 – 9:00 PM

Special Collections

In addition to the regular stacks, the Hartland College Library has several special collections.

  • Antique Books: The books in this collection include both sacred and secular books whose copyright/print dates range from the 1600’s to the early 1900’s.
  • Bibles: In this collection are different translations (or paraphrases) of the Bible. These Bibles may be checked out.
  • EGW Reference: This collection is made up of books and articles by Ellen G. White. Some of the books in this collection are original books, and all these books need to remain in the library. There is another Ellen White section in the regular stacks from which the books may be checked out.
  • Foreign Language Books: In the foreign language collection are books that are in other languages. This does not include dictionaries for helping you learn another language.
  • Hartland: In this collection are Hartland handbooks and yearbooks, as well as books published by Hartland Publications. Included in this collection are books written by Drs. Colin and Russell Standish.
  • SDA Heritage: The books in this collection are Seventh-day Adventist heritage books, including older copies of books by Uriah Smith, John H. Kellogg and other early Adventist writers.
  • SDA Periodicals: In this collection are bound volumes of Seventh-day Adventist periodicals, including MinistryReview and Herald, and Signs of the Times.
